Hey there! I'm Tracie. How do ya do?
What's this intentional magic stuff about? I'm glad you asked!
I believe the magic in life happens only when you're intentional about what you want to achieve and the choices you make to get there.
However you define the magic is up to you. For me, it's the joy in life. From the special moments to the things that keep you content and your heart full. Being fulfilled with your heart, mind, body, and soul.
For me, these things are where my magic lie, and so this is what we'll cover here:
The core of this blog will focus on exposing as many careers as possible. I am guided by Marie C. Wilson's quote, "You can't be what you can't see." I want to show as many careers as possible because I want kids, young adults, and adult career changers of all backgrounds to be able to see the possibilities that they could achieve, as well as a realistic path to get there.
As former US Surgeon General Vivek Murthy once said, "A foundation of good health makes everything else possible." I want everyone to feel good and be healthy, living their longest and best life.
Interior, exterior, landscape, or organization: your space affects your mood, so let's create a space that inspires you.
Travel expands the mind, and adventures makes me happy!
Because what would any of the rest of this mean without family and friends around to enjoy this magic with together?
Yeah but why me?
Sure, I've got over 15 years of making a living by connecting students to graduate programs and careers.
Yes, I'm awesome at setting a vision and getting stuff done. (Or like, 90% done but hey, no one's perfect.)
Of course I don't BS, and I look for the easiest (read: laziest) way to success.
Do I have all the answers? Of course not. But I've tried and failed and tried and succeeded enough times to have something to share. I love helping others succeed, and I think there's a lot of value in accountability for reaching your goals.
In my early career, someone called me "rough around the edges" which I was super offended by at the time. Now I own it, though I prefer "irreverent." I'm serious about my results, but I'm rarely serious in my approach to achieving them. Just because you work hard doesn't mean you should hardly have fun, so that's the style you'll find here.
I'm not for everyone. But for everyone who's in, I'm for them 100%.
